So, killerbee was nice enough to make an etpro server for us blacqies (ty) that we could use for whatever, but to the point,
If I enter it, ET restarts twice and then it connects with lag. I've made a screenie of my console with the lag:



As you might see, etpro saves the old cvars in the etpro map, so after 5 minutes in the server, I have over 8000 backups in my etpro folder, if I open one of them, it says:

As you see, I have 4 cvar violations, so I put the legal values in my autoexec, but etmain automaticly resets them to the values they originaly were, so the ones which etpro doesnt like.

How the hell can I solve this?

The restart is just loading another mod doesnt cause the lag.

I know that. But the lag is caused by etpro that doesn't stop making backups, so if it makes 5 backups per second, the lag is huge, which it is (I've got a steady 3 fps if im lucky).

Try deleting your etpro folder completely, installing it manually from here, loading the mod, and entering that cvar.

Are you still on OXS? cause if so you cannot play etpro , latest mod simply isn't made for mac yet. But since you did manage to connect its either a old etpro version, or you are using windows.
Other possibility is that you use either Parallels or VMware Fusion. If you use Parallels then you should use version 3, if vmware i have no clue Eitherway, in both cases videosupport (although they claim otherwise) sucks.
If on a mac, toss out etpro and play on jaymodservers way better servers anyhow, as pey once said "don't get misled by the "pro" in etpro

Last option... use Bootcamp

LoL. Yes, I still use OSX, but it's only Mr.Bee's server, B8 works fine.

In that case you are about the only person I know that plays etpro on osx or someone downgraded B8 or you use windows to play etpro.

That or I'm just to stupid
