I am wondering if we should start allowing spawnkilling on B1.

It is my personal opinion that we should, however with longer spawn shields (4 or 5 seconds instead of 3). With a longer spawn shield players can get further away from spawn and easily rape anyone trying to SK with a heavy weapon. This will also clear up any problems of 'Major Stompage' (people waiting/firing right outside a spawn exit), as it would be easier for the other team to just run right through the attack with a longer spawn shield. Finally, with this rule change we can allow spawn-passing and re-entering spawn, as the other team will be able to go in after them.

I think that this is a rule change which will benefit the server in the long run, as the longer spawn shield will make it very hard to successfully spawnkill, as well as cut down on arty/air/panzer/mortar effectiveness directly outside of spawn.

This also has the added benefit of encouraging medics to revive first, and kill later, as the player they revive will have longer to kill the other player/revive the original medic. It will push more team-oriented tactics, as it will be very hard for 1 player to take on 2-3 guys and consistently win: Revive-shields will just be to long-lasting.

I think the spawn killing rule works best on the pro servers. Although there are seasoned players on B-1 there are also newer players as well. I'm not in favor of that rule change at all.

I think a much smarter trend would be to encourage new map makers to make spawns that you drop from, so spawn killing would be all but impossible.


I wouldn't mind spawn killing -- it would actually teach people to not be afk so much, and leave spawn quikly, or risk dying



It gets tiring judging which is a spawn kill when people spawn around you in some maps, and you are caught in the middle, with no choice but to fight.

If you think allowing SK might help, then test it for a week max. You will notice how most of the avid players will be able to get half of the enemy team inside spawn with an airstrike and crossfire at the right positions. IMO at a fun-public allowing SK is not a good idea.

I've played on SK allowed servers before i found out a good organized, structured server like B2 and B1.

Those servers are pure chaos with all the sk. people will only camp outside to get a boner to get multikills and stuff.

If you want to SK join up for the B cup or go play ETpro.

I really really really hope |>B<| will never allow SK on the main servers that are most crowded with diferent people.

ive played on numerous servers in my day and found it that if sk is allowed the less admins need to do and ppl seem to bitch less about petty shit im all for it

Increased time shield for 5 seconds would be great, but release spawk .. not think he will promote the game there is to know how to play and its rules. It might work for the old players, but for the new would be a tricky thing.

This has come up for a vote several times and it always has the same result, Players prefer No Spawn Kill Rule.

I, myself would like for SK to be allowed but, i think that the NO SK rule may be why alot of Players are attracted to |>B<| servers and why they come back.

Most recent vote I think was last August. Jeco is right. Thats why people keep coming to Bunker servers. Get on B8, spawn killing is allowed and B10 allows spawn passing I'm sure Gort would appreciate the patronage. If thats the type of game play your interested in. Oh yeah forgot, I say no again.

I've played on 2 servers in my ET life lol.. etgamers and bunker. Spawnkilling was allowed on etgamers.. it was funny however I voted as never..

Spawnkill promotes spawncamping and spawnpassing.
An undesired result.

Good luck trying to enforce rules as they are written if Spawnkilling gets liberated.

Its either No rules or lots of rules.. You cant have a mid-way point.

B1 one is a mix of pro, old guys, young guys and newbies. SK is for pro, which I am far removed from.

I played on the UH server last year and it reminded me how much I hated it. It also spurs camping that detracts from the mission.

this is actually exactly what i was gonna say...but at the same time admining becomes even harder because sk is ok but than it happens with panzar or rnade or grenade and we will have to warn for it aswell:)

i say yes..becose sk is a part of the game.Push the group back to the spawn is importend to win a game.
Make the spawnprotection longer is a good way.
on other servern you lost your protection if you make the first shoot ( ore 5 sec)
You can run out of spawn without kill from mortar ore campers..
But on >b<...you will never have it...its part from >b<

Ive voted NEVER.

If SK is allowed all hell will break out. Mass sk will go on and thats when ppl leave server. Ive seen this happon.
Bunker is one of the best if not the best well balanced servers around. Ive been here now for 5+years how many other servers can boast that they have members that stay for over 5+ years? Not many.

Why change what works fine.
