- Community Statistics -

Statistics for the week of January 25 - January 31 were as follows: We had 1 new registered members to the forums, 14 of our community members celebrated their birthdays, there were 0 reported admin abuse topics across all servers, 1 unban requests, and countless promotions for regulars, members, and admins. At last count, we now have 3,956 registered members who have made ~253,384+ posts.


Congratulation's on the promotions everyone, keep up the good work! If you have been promoted to member(tag wearing) you now have access to a members section of the forum, if you don't have access PM a member and have them add your name here (member link) to get you access. If your name is not listed, PM Vidi to be added as a correction in the following weeks news.

CTF Toxic (Beta 3)

This is a Capture the Flag map. This gametype does not exist in ET so it is fully scripted in the map script. The team with the most caps when the time runs out wins! If there is no timelimit then the first team to 100 caps wins.

Note: You can only gain a point by bringing the enemies flag to your own, if your teams flag has been taken by the enemy you have to return it before you can make a point. So there is a good reason to defend your flag too.

Operation Tower (Beta 5)

Allies have to search and transmit the secret technical manuals through a radio, fight their way to reach the top axis tower where are the manuals.

Changes from Beta 4 to Beta 5:

* Fixed the allied spawn bug.
* Added a double axis door to the Tower gate.
* Added a constructible wooden barricade to the wall breach near flag.
* New underground tunnel.
* New water shader, clear and shiny.
* Reduced the tunnel entrance from the tunnel gate to avoid players to fall down and die.
* New trees planted, new furnitures in axis spawn.

Extra Cheese Mod (Beta 1)

This is a small source mod which adds a couple weapons, beefs up the soldier class a bit, and provides a few options to server admins. Most things are optional, thus empowering server admins to add or remove what ever they want. Recycled as much ET code/skins as possible, hopfully preventing any mod-lag. Designed for fun-based maps and servers. Some options (e.g., tripmines, BAR) can be turned off for scrims, or classic maps.

* Modified sten (Sten Mk.III), unsuppressed, no heat restrictions
* Soldier may select "Sten Mk.III" as primary weapon from limbo menu
* Covert ops gets "Sten Mk.III" as secondary weapon at level 4 light weapons and military intelligence
* Optional ping for BOTS (48-52)
* Optional trip-mines (perfect for urban combat)
* Customizable tool selection for soldier
* Optional grenade increases for soldier
* All the updates in etpub nightly (see etpub documentation)
* Command shortcuts for !listplayers and !nextmap (!li & !ne)
* B.A.R. added as secondary weapon for soldier. Its semi-auto and can fire as fast as trigger is pulled (aka mouse click)

Guys, I am back in operation, job is gone, so I will have more time.

B2 needs to be IMMEDIATELY backed up and will be shut down today, sorry there was not a longer notice !!!!

I am diligently seeking a replacement at a friend's hosting facility for B2, I have a deal right now, where I am helping some people out with programming, and they will give me a new server.

IP will change, but not the domain, domain will remain the same.

I will let you guys know asap !!

The B2 server is disappearing, due to HEAVY HEAVY circumstances.
I am diligently working to get a replacement for it ASAP !!!!

- Mystic informed Djeebs to copy the B2 info so nothing will be lost.

- Suddendeath moving B2 data to B3 server to back it up, also trying to seek for an replacement

ALL data (except the etmain/*pk3) has been tar gz'ed and I am sending it to B3 at the moment (15 gigabytes compressed !)
it will be in /data4/B2/
I have split the files into 8 chunks (2gb each), so I can wget them.
once all sections are there, I will recombine them and see that the data is correct.

I am working on a server from a friend, to see if I get it working, its a nice 2280 Opteron , if that server does not wanna cooperate, I get a new server at hosteurope, A friend of mine has a rack there, and he is willing to lend us some space. the bandwidth we can arrange later, but will be really cheap.

As soon as I get a server up I let you guys know !

Sorry for this, but I didnt expect it so soon. Due to "force majeure" I had to get out of the workplace immediately ! it was my own decision though, which was triggered by some fucked judge on shrooms.

Got word from djeebs. B2 will be off line until Monday probably. Then it will temporary run for about a week on a server of a friend of Sudden.
Djeebs and Sudden are looking for a new server which will probably be hosted in Belgium or the Netherlands. More news in a few days.

Just got news from sudden,its here, its here I tell you, mhuahahaha

New IP and server shall be posted soon. It might take a day or two but then. B2 IS OPEN FOR FUN.

Faster and smoother than ever

- Server is beeing installed, B2 should be back online in notime!

don't worry to much, got word they are installing the server. We are waiting for the root so we can get to work, but since it's weekend we don't expect to hear anything before Monday. Then the job of installing B2 on it begins. Be patient, it will be there

-A Rambo medic is a player who chooses the medic class primarily for the higher max health, the ability to self heal, and the ability to use adren, so that they can kill more effectively. I have absolutely no problem with Rambo meds and think they are an integral part to most strategic efforts. This guide if for people who want to heal better, not for me to tell you how to play or to not Rambo. I like to Rambo too sometimes.
