Hi Guys, lots of people have asked about my autoexec so I thought I'd post it up...take what you like & toss what you don't...most people ask about my nick scripting...its in here somewhere...enjoy.

To use it copy it to notepad but be sure save it as a .cfg file...then put it in ur etmain folder.

Be sure to tweak to ur liking...fyi i use inverted crosshairs, yellow dot for crosshairs, etc...

Oh yea to exec it either open console and type /exec autoexec.cfg or press N


LAst of all if there is anything else you want let me know...I have custom Vsay scripts, dyno-counters, etc

anything in the way of target has to go...tongue.gif

it did take me awhile to get used to not seeing my gun...smile.gif

Allows you to toggle between FoV easier, making your own "autozoom." With this if you normally play with 120 you can 'zoom' into 90, it drops your sens to .76, and it is much is to pick off at distance.

Here's a question. I'm inclined to chalk this up to my own inability to play well, but I am not certain.

Generally when I start getting hit, my screen will bounce a bit and make it difficult to aim properly, especially at a distance. Yet all too often, while I'm shooting a person at a distance, they're able to keep a pinpoint bead on me in the same circumstances. A good example is when I'm up top on the pyramid in great pyramid, I start shooting a medic in the enemy courtyard, and while I'm hearing a constant string of hit noises, he turns, zeroes in on me and hits me with 4 or 5 headshots and I'm toast =/

Is there a cvar that's disabling the screen bounce, or are they just really good at compensating (I already know I'm not good at it at all sad.gif )?

Well.. maddad has the cg_bobsomethings on his config.. it narrows the recoil or whatever you call it..

It's not the weapon recoil or the weapon bob while moving, so much as the amount the screen 'jerks' when you've been shot by someone. That always throws my aim off and I don't see other people being as badly affected by it as I am. I'm inclined to beleive that it's mostly just practice at aiming while being shot at, but I figured I would ask.

Dont try to compensate it with up or down movement , just keep shooting straight ahead , only the screen bounces , your targeting still the same spot !

bobs only effect ur view when moving...nothing to do w/ recoil

40 is a PB cvar violation on other servers so i keep it 20...even tho it could be 40 on B1

I guess it's time I switch my settings from default huh?
NO cfg or tweaks of any kind at my end.
This with my crap PC.Dang I could just imagine how I'd play if I had a good PC with a half decent video card.
I guess I don't change things unless it's broke.Maybe I should pretend that my PC is broke and go out and by a new one.

lol..,bite the bullet & buy a good pc...

Aha. I see the crosshair move and assume it throws my aim off for a split-second, so I try to fix it. I didn't realise that wasn't the case =/

ive got bloodsplatter off and bloodflash on full try that because when bloodflash is off i get the same prob as u weird rolleyes.gif
