AxisRevenge is based on Xreal, I think its very promising. ETLive also could be very interesting.. no more install madness.

Interesting stuff Pey.

Whatever direction they take with this project I just hope they can capture the spirit of enemy territory in the final product. I think the movement/ability to strafe jump, hit detection, and bullet damage are key to make it truly successful with the die hard ET fans.

the port to xreal wont change anything on the gameplay, strafejump whatsoever.. its just a new grafic engine.

for etlive.. i have my doubts that that will happen any time soon. rather quakewarslive (espacially since the quakewarsonline stuff which look pretty much as the original). but jeah.. xreal thingy would be a lot more usefull since installing et is a smaller problem then the fact that a lot pps dont like it cause of the old grafic (and the fact that they are to stupid for this game ^^)

What i would like to know is that with the Source out is there anyway to create a patch to Fix Once and For All 2 Problems with ET!

Increase the Hunkmegs to at least 128!

And

Increase the Max Gamestate Chars!

I don;t know if it would have to be an entire rebuild but if it could just be something that gets downloaded when a player connects that would be best.

I guess if it is a actual patch then there would be version problems on various servers, not sure about that.

Anyway, it sure would be nice if this was possible.
