10 years have quickly passed since the first pre release and the official release of Enemy Territory occurred.
This, we thought we'd celebrate with some Party at B2.

On 24 April 2003 the first pre release containing only the map Fuel Dump came out for download.
To celebrate, we thought we play some different versions of the Fuel Dump on Wednesday 24 April 2013 and also Saturday 27 April.
More info about versions and time will come later.

On May 29, 2003 the official version of Enemy Territory with the 6 original maps came out for download.
To celebrate, we thought we play the six original maps and maybe some other version of these on Wednesday, 29 May 2013, and also on Saturday June 1.
More info will come later.

Best Regards

Mongo

I bet you a penny you can't find the very original version of the Fuel Dump map.

Nostalgia indeed! I remember distinctly my first few minutes of playing the game, being amazed with the sound effects. They were so different from RTCW multiplayer. It was fuel dump, I spawned as Axis and ran up the fuel dump fort stairs. Upon reaching the top, I was met with what seemed like an orchestra of automatic weapons fire. Good times.

The oldest to ET thought I was the one who was in wolf_et_test. The map looks like the latter Fuel Dump, but the command post do not look so fine.

For RTCW there is a single-player mission called Forest and the landscape is very similar to Fuel Dump.

Had to me that there were also a multiplayer version and searched a bit and found bk_forest.

Do not remember if I played it but I think Old Chap gave a link to a video, but it no longer works. http://bunker.aaxxss...978-gratz-rtcw/

The oldest Fuel Dump map had flaws that allowed you to scale the far wall at the Fuel Dump as well as the fences around the fuel storage tanks. They quickly changed the map (I think while still in Beta) to remove those flaws, including creating a heavier barbed wire that does more damage to your health upon contact.

I remember a site listing games, and the shot was quite old: a Fuel Dump, as said above looking like a stealth mission of RtCW, temperate theme, with a very edgy Tank, and the Fuel Dump area was like RtCW excepted the removed entrance to the bunker on the right from what I remember :)

I play it since I have Internet (2006), good to see how it started :)

Jec,

If i could find mine it would look exactly like yours does, a coffee stain across the  KEY lol, i remember when ET came out on a disc with RTCW that was a platinum version, i have it somewhere but i would have to dig it up!!  Seems longer than 10 yrs since ET was released...

Sounds like some fun to me. It will be certainly different to just play the original stock maps but definitely fun. :)

I must have started playing about 8 years ago for the first time.. I remember it was at my cousins house and they had a huge lan party going on.  I didn't know anything except that I always was supposed to be engineer.  Nobody knew the game well at all and we all ran around like idiots!!  Haha good times!

Pretty amazing to see how the game has changed, but also how it has stayed the same!

Reminder!

10 years have quickly passed since the first pre release and the official release of Enemy Territory occurred.
This, we thought we'd celebrate with some Party at B2.

ET 10 years pre release Party @ |>B<|Bunker B2

or as it might be called the Fuel Dump party.

Wednesday, April 24 19:00 - 22:00 Central Europe Time

Prepare yourself with fast food and drink. Old whit :beer2: and young with :pepsi: .

So tell all your old :Oldfart: and new player friends to come and play.

On 24 April 2003 the first pre release containing only the map Fuel Dump came out for download.
To celebrate, we thought we play some different versions of the Fuel Dump on Wednesday 24 April 2013 and also Saturday 27 April.

Best Regards

Mongo

Remember the RTCW_MP_TEST 2= et_beach?

God, we are becoming old! How lovely this game was and still is!

I'll have to make an effort to get there in time due to some extra courses besides my job, but i'll connect whenever i can!

If you can not tonight Rosebud, Drossen or someone else, it is also a similar party on Saturday.

The idea was that our friends from South and North America could join on Saturday because they may find it difficult so early a Wednesday with work and school.
