Well, my Windows PC finally took its last breath this week, and I finally decided to tackle downloading ET for this Macbook.

I read a couple of topics on these forums as well as others, and got as far as putting my Wolf ET folder in applications.  When I tried to create an autoexec.cfg file, it would only let me make a folder, not a file.  I tried the folder, but I couldn't put the two lines of text it recommended (i think allowextensions and one other.)  So, I'm stumped.  I also tried making an etkey, but either the website isnt working or my lack of computer knowledge is even worse than I though.  I didnt see and numbers when I clicked get an etkey, so I just proceeded past that.

This laptop is running the latest version of Mountain Lion, not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.  Thanks for the help.

Latest version of Mountan lion is OSX Mavericks?

If its not mavericks but something earlier, try this launcher to start et: http://redsaurus.net/blog/?p=112

And don't create that autoexec.cfg file if the launcher works. As that is just a workaround which will not make you happy.

You can create those files with a texteditor, be sure to save them as plain text. And then just drag and drop them into the folder you created.

Else for OSX Mavericks, see this: http://forums.warche...ll=1#post479611

http://etkey.org/ there you have that button - get etkey, but it makes you download a file. Which you have to place in etmain.

My expertise is actually Polar Bears.

1. Find a frozen lake.

2. Cut a large hole in the ice

3. Place a fish on the edge of the ice

4. When the bear tries to take the fish., sneak up and kick him in the ice hole.
