As a result of the vote located here we have migrated to the silEnT mod for Enemy Territory.

 

Admin levels should still be intact, however, it is possible you may have lost your saved XP.  XP should continue to save normally after you begin playing.

 

 

 

We've done what we can to make this as close to ETPub as possible.  If you come across something you feel doesn't seem right, please post here and explain the problem (provide as many details as possible).  We will do our best to fix any issues.

 

 

 

Question/Issue:

  1. Knife throw is completely different.
  2. You can shoot while poisoned.
  3. Scoreboard does not show killrating.
  4. Explosives seem to have lower radius or lower damage, hard to tell exactly what without testing?
  5. Panzer map has higher movement speed and gravity.
  6. Seems to take more time to get levels.
  7. Adrenaline does not reduce damage taken.
  8. Possibly higher kick when getting hit?
  9. There was a window that I'm 99% sure I could fit through in ETPUB, but not with SILENT.  Possibly different collision boxes?
  10. Spawn timers seem different.
  11. If swimming in river, can't throw a nade out of the water.

Response:

  1. Fixed knife throwing (I think).  Throwing is instant like pub - damage should be more in line with pub now.
  2. Fixed shooting while poisoned - disabled now.
  3. Fixed kill rating display on scoreboard.
  4. Checking on explosive radius and damage.
  5. Panzer map should have no change - will double check.
  6. XP gain should be exact same - settings mirror Pub.  Maybe keep an eye on it?
  7. Adrenaline damage reduction is set to 50%  - will test.
  8. Higher kick while getting hit?  Push back?
  9. What window?  What map?
  10. Checked settings on maps while playing and they matched what the configs have.

Sounds like we need to plan a B1 party soon to get the server crowded and really all see how it feels and if it works the way you guys set it up :)

Minor issue: knife throw is very very short, I'd say about a third of the expected distance.

in the command !list, it does not show aka, Alias etc. no Double Jump in !help command. Or needs to be turned on. Knife throws are deadly thats for sure.

OMG can you imagine if Kiwi comes on with his knife playing!...Lol

Anyone but you, I would automatically think this was a serious question. ;)

 

I'll humor: if new behavior is hold down for a bit to get extra distance, well, that ain't how it worked before.

 

 

Ooookay. knife throwing is interesting now. Distance is crazy and two or three knife hits kill. Yeah, better than bullets!

 

Get on and play bouncing knives before it gets changed. :)

I'll list differences from the old B1.  Not commenting on whether I like the changes or not, it's just a list of everything I noticed.

 

Knife throw is completely different.

With the new mod gone live tonight I would expect a server admin to be around for any problems.

I think the server crashed I can't get in...

The window is on Karsiah map.  After allies capture the flag, go left toward south objective.  I believe it's the first (and only) window you come to, and if you hop through it you end up above ammo racks.

 

I can confirm the grenade in water issue on Venice map at least.  It either goes nowhere or bounces off the top of the water, couldn't tell which since it was shallow.

 

Another thing is that switching weapons may be slower.  The main time you notice is with a panzer.  Takes longer to switch from pistols to panzer and back.

Seems that the only class that can spot mines is covert.  Cant this be looked at also?

11.  Will check on throwing nades out of water while swimming.  Is this any map?

 

Not certain.  I noticed it on Caen.  Boy was I ever surprised to be in the water, throw a nade, and watch it bounce off the surface back at me.

haha.. I like that when you get poised it affects your play.  ;)  It's not easy to poison someone purposely.

 

Is there a setting that allows you to shoot still but with affected aim and consistency of fire?  Like being disoriented?

 

That would be a happy medium.  ;)

I just joined the server on Dubrovnik and tested it in the water.  The grenade hits the water surface and bounces back down at you.

 

You still cannot throw them out of the water.
