DICE's upcoming World War II title Battlefield V will now launch later than previously announced, with the studio general manager Oskar Gabrielson saying in a new blog post that the development needs some additional time to "make some final adjustments to core gameplay".

Instead of the original October 19 launch, Battlefield V will now be available on November 20. The game is slated to feature single-player, multiplayer, co-op, and even a battle royale mode, although some game modes will not be available at launch. DICE will not be introducing a premium pass for the entry this time around, with all players slated to receive new maps and gameplay content for free.

Gabrielson added that player feedback from recent closed beta sessions have also impacted the game, with the changes already being implemented in the upcoming open beta:

You’ve also spurred us to make some meaningful improvements to the core gameplay experience, including adjusting the gameplay tempo, improving soldier visibility and reducing player friction.

The upcoming open beta kick-off date remains unchanged, with it beginning on September 6. Those who have pre-ordered the game or are part of EA or Origin Access subscription programs will gain access on September 4 instead.
