Samsung wrapped up its Unpacked event a few hours ago with a whole new lineup of Galaxy flagship smartphones, a smart speaker powered by Bixby, and wearable devices. While the new-generation Galaxy S10 series will be available in the U.S. next month, the devices won't be released in the European market until the summer.

The company has announced today that it teamed up with a number of mobile network operators across several countries including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the U.K. to bring the Galaxy S10 5G model to the region beginning in June. Pricing details remain unavailable as of this time, but the handset will be supported by Deutsche Telekom, EE, Orange, Sunrise, Swisscom, Vodafone, TIM, and Telefonica.

Samsung's 5G partnerships across Europe mark a wider consumer availability of the Galaxy S10 5G there than in the U.S., where the device will be exclusive via Verizon at first and AT&T in the second half of 2019. The South Korean tech giant first confirmed in August of last year that it was already working with mobile carriers and partners worldwide to incorporate its first 3GPP-compliant 5G modem, the Exynos Modem 5100, into the intended devices.

The company basically completed its significant 5G milestone in early 2017 when it declared that its 5G RF Integrated Circuit (RFIC) was commercially ready. The hardware is a key component for producing new base stations and radio access products.
