Sometimes...you get this odd error when you try to connect to the server. It may be after downloading a map, after a "Max_Gamestate_Chars" error, or maybe even from a PB Kick.

Usually, the server seems to die after one of these errors. There could be 60 players, but after this happens, then there's only about 15...

This error does not mean that you can't join the server for hours. In fact, you can get back in less than 1 minute. All you have to do is follow these steps:

1) Quit Wolfenstein. (I mean fully quit it)

2) Open Wolfenstein again.

3) Rejoin the server.


That's right. 2 steps will fix the problem.

Just to clarify what Klepto said. He DOES mean completely quit Enemy Territory, don't just /disconnect. That won't fix the problem.

You can also click on MODS and restart ETPub which is pretty much the same thing as quitting out of it.

well ive got kicked yesterday.
by the reason

trying to update pb.
kicked for 5 min lol ?

so it was a new update of pb then or something ? cause it wassnt only me who got kicked by that reason.

Its best practise to run pbsetup prior to any gaming session .. that way you are not dependent on the server updating your client and your always bang up to date.

thats have nothing to do about the problem with losing packets.

just some file they cant read over again so thats why et need to start.
if u set sv_pure 0
then u should not be kicked cause the rereading files is of then.

When I get an Unpure Client error I just join a different server for a second then leave and come back to Bunker. It works just fine.

I have another problem as well. I have updated all my PB updates from their server but for some reason keep getting kicked every 15 minutes for CVAR stuff and PB not connecting to me. I have undone all my firewall stuff and my friend who turned me on to ET and also uses a MAC has had the same problem with this server and won't use it anymore. I like this server and just have to quit ET entirely and go back in every time. How can I fix this?

Maybe not related to this peculiar error message has it happens after downloading a new map
at some servers & some don't ? Some servers are kinda losing contact with client after download...???

@EvilTwin Tried to tell you to update PB over & over & over & over since a long time!? No answer ever???

Your 'error' is related to a PunkBuster Not being updated!

Run pbweb.exe in PB folder. (Could need many tries to get updated good)
But rem3mber to run this at times.

Glad you finally reach the server as I couldn't ever get answer from you before...
You know I tried many times...

Remeber to use 'T' to talk to all & ask questions.


Big tip: Do not rely on friends to set some Cvars; could lead to lifetime ban
Install the game, configure with Options menu provided in the game!

when u get that error and get kicked, just..

go to game menu MODS

click ETPUB, and rejoin/reconnect to server "connect bunker1.aaxxss.com"


You dont have to join another server or quit game

Sometimes error cames because of changing MOD. Diffrent mod's have diffrent settings. And diffrent servers have diffrence between settings. Mean when you visit server which needs diffrent settings, and then go back to old one. It maybe kicks you out because settings. But pk3 problems fix out mostly if you just delete old pk3 file or restart game. If it dosent help use manually pb update on evenbalance.
